Good Morning
Pat, this post made me smile this morning. I can just imagine going to a place to listen to music. I have always loved music from the 50s and 60s and they were oldies back when I was growing up. Now I would venture to say they are off the charts. I've never cared who liked my music and who didn't. I think my oldies are so much fun. There's a lot of 80s music I love and that music would be outdated now. I still love them. I could go on and on about my music but I will stop now. All I have to say is if you want to have fun turn on "Maybelline" and go from there. I hope you have a wonderful day. Stay warm!

Good afternoon
Music is nowhere near what it once was. I absolutely cannot stand rap and singers who scream into the microphone with inaudible lyrics. Mosh pits disgust me, and techno is hard to handle. I enjoy all music, but some of what is produced today is not what I would consider to be good music, but the younger crowds would disagree. I guess that each generation has its own idea of what they consider to be the best music, but it's funny how the newer artists always go back to the older tunes and update them to their style...usually ruining the original.

I know where your coming from.
I know what you mean. Then I remember that the best thing about singing and performing is connecting with your audience. And I think about writing. Finding your market. The people who still feel you are hip. Real music lovers love talent no matter the age group.
