Sherri, after reading your post I've learned things I didn't know about hot water tanks. Our hot water tank is in the laundry room. I hope it's warm enough. It's only a year old so hopefully, it will last for a while. Stay warm!

My hot water is in the utility room with the heating. That helps a lot.

To be without hot water is just awful, You are brave. I probably would have gone without the shower. Where you live has pretty much the same climate as the Ottawa Valley wheree I lived in Canada.
