                Problem here is heating is so expensive . Some folk still have fires. I don't think it is really allowed, but Archie cannot get enough wood as store sold wood is so costly.

                We never had heat on the farm except form the stove in the kitchen which burned wood. no real electricity just 32 volt batteries. Night time was worst. The bed would be cold and it would stay cold for a little girl.

                    Good morning
                
                We are lucky to have heat these days. Our ancestors were forced to wear layers of heavy clothing and build fires to stay warm. I can't imagine waking up in a house that is 0 degrees and building a fire to stay warm. Worse yet, they probably had to walk outdoors to gather more firewood.
