Go to Life in the fast lane--where's the on ramp?

Good Morning
This story made me think of my aunt. She used to spend hours sewing on her old singer sewing machine. She loved it. My uncle would have bought her a fancy new sewing machine but she wanted her old one. She made some beautiful creations on that machine. I hope you have a wonderful day. I was just thinking I don't know what I would do if I had to rely on wood to heat our house. Thankfully I had the new boiler installed and it's keeping us toasty warm. Stay warm!

Re: Kabu
I believe you made the right decision. Seems to me Wiley would want you to be safe and happy. And James is a good person. He deserves to be happy, too.

Good afternoon
Those old quilts made from scrap fabrics are pure treasures. Being content is up to the person, and as long as she is happy with her situation, that is all that really matters.

Re: CCT
We recycled before it was an official process. Thrift was necessary then and is still a great idea from my point of view. And not only that, it was creative - an art, the way you describe it.

A rather sad but heartwarming story , Folk did not throw things away.
I had almost forgotten but I did make one or two rugs after an old lady
showed me the way to cut the cloth and poke it through hessian.
I remember we did have one in front of the fire at one stage.
Once later on we had the chance to buy a load of rush mats.
Unfortunately they did not sell so we painted designs on them
I remember OXO was one and they sold like billy-o.
War shortage.🌺
