That is all the mail we get begging Jim and we are too old to get a job and live around the corner and across a hill from one of the USA's wealthiest men. {which has nothing to do with anything since he is also a pretty great philanthropist👍} but by the time we pay our bills and there is a youngest daughter needing financial support to pay off her student loan...there isn't much change hanging around actually.

Good afternoon

The many donation requests truly do become overwhelming, especially during this time of year. I always throw a few bucks into the red kettles, and every year we purchase a gift for a child in need via the star tree. John is hit at the steel mill gate with requests for donations just about every month for a down-and-out steel worker or for one organization or another that depends on charitable contributions. If we donated to them all, we would need a donation just to pay our bills and feed our faces. Sarcastic smile

Good Morning

Pat, I'm so glad you posted this today.  I get notices in the mail to donate to all kinds of organizations.  I know everyone needs money but I can't give to everyone and take care of my family at the same time.  I get emails from organizations I've never heard of before.  I am now getting requests for donations to Israel.  I feel so bad for all the people in Israel and what they are going through but I can't afford to donate money.  I have things like electricity, gas, water, sewer, taxes, food, and insurance and my list goes on and on.  I think these organizations are trying to make us feel bad when we don't donate our hard-earned dollars.  I buy all the kids' school fundraisers and those have gone up just like everything else.  If I ever get rich I may consider donating to some of the organizations but for now, I have to take care of my family.  I hope you have a wonderful day.
