I was not born yet. My Dad was six years old and remembers the day well. His Catholic school dismissed him. He would walk home. His grandmother was surprised to see him and certainly more surprised when she found out why he was home.

Mother came into the bedroom I shared with my Sister and woke us up." I have some very bad news," she said." It isn't our lovely Queen, but it is that lovely Young Man in The USA White House. President Kennedy has been shot and is dead." We three sat there and had a good cry!
