I loved the beanies and hats my grandma would make for us. I'm sure your granddaughters will love them as well. Barbie is such a hit now and the colors sound perfect for the girls. They will enjoy the purses, too.

Good Evening
Pat, I didn't see the Barbie movie but I know that the kids love it. I love how creative you are.

How wonderful and with winter weather getting closer along with Christmas send all your warm hats / scarves etc off to charity. I know by mid winter when sales are on you will be anxious to do more. You know each item you knit can help save a life!

Good morning
Homemade gifts are my favorite. I have not seen the movie, but I have always loved Barbie. My mom has the original Barbie who is dressed in a striped black and white bathing suit. I regret that I got rid of my late '70s Barbie collection, which included her townhouse, country camper, Corvette, swimming pool, and posh wardrobe, as well as a million other accessories. We bought our granddaughter the modern Barbie townhouse a few Christmases ago, but she showed little interest in it. Barbie is just not her thing. Her Christmas request is for a new bed set, complete with new sheets, a comforter, and the matching pillow sham.

Re: Pat_B
I need to go shopping for darning supplies. Years ago, with four sons and a husband, I did a lot of darning of socks and got really good at it. I haven't done it for years and years...but.... what with me being a barefoot old lady and inside wearing warm socks in the cold months, all my nice socks are getting holes in the heels. Hate to waste them for a little hole.
