I imagine the military base wouldn't tolerate not being presentable. Here the food workers are usually neat and clean. Thank the gods.Â

John and I stopped at Subway a few days ago on our way home from our youngest daughter's house in Brownsville. We were greeted at the counter by two very disheveled young women. Their uniforms were dirty and one of the girls had pet hair on her uniform, which will inevitably end up in somebody's sub sandwich. The vegetable trays in the bins were almost empty, and their work shelf looked unkept. I lost my appetite immediately, so we left without ordering any food. On the bright side, we saved money and some extra calories.

Sherri, I agree that when you work in the Food industry you should be clean and presentable. It's really not like that now. Â
