Re: Sis Sea,

“The best is yet to be, the last of life, for which the first was made” …. Robert  Browning. Another of his I love ❤️ in Grammarian’s Funeral is:

That low man goes on adding one to one,
          His hundred's soon hit:
This high man, aiming at a million,
          Misses an unit.

Everything depends on how high one sets one’s goal and constantly strives to achieve his objective. Many thanks for putting up your thought-provoking query.

I did enjoy your post. It did not work out as the painter had expected for him and he is content with that, it seems. I love the part about not outreaching one's grasp - though I'm not sure I agree at all times this is best because how can one grow unless one reaches a bit further, as do athletes? Very thought-provoking, dear Aba brother. Thank you. StarSleeping half-moonRed roseUmbrellaMusicOpen-mouthed smile

Re:

Yes, this what Robert Browning is trying to say.

Re: CC

Andrea realizes that since he was dependent on Lucrezia for him to provide inspiration, and which in this case, wasn’t forthcoming. It would have sprung from his within. And as a result his paintings are not of a masterpiece, like Raphael, Michael Angelo and Leonardo da Vinci. Andrea was perfect in his perfection and those of the other masters adorning tge walls of heaven were full of soul. Reality brings perfection, not perfection. So, also therefore, he could find true love.

Would true love have inspired or help create that little magic that is needed to create a

Masterpiece? Maybe not could he be trying to capture the pain of rejection.?
