Only in the past few years have I come to realize that many autistic traits are quite visible in our family. Funny how that works, when you suddenly realize that most people don't actually see or seem to live in the same world you do!

my Father's side of the family, the women are supposed to live long lives and are somewhat weird. I apologise if you find me so though perhaps Mother's side may have diluted....nah don't think so.

I can definitely see humor in the situation. I actually asked "How do you breathe?" before I bit my tongue. I said something about allergies & cat dander. Every family has stuff, and sometimes laughter is medicine. 🙂

I think we could say most families have oddness. In a perfect world, one would
have a written assessment. It would list all the possible events that could happen
to those in love.

I'm very allergic to cats and so is my daughter so we've never been around cats. I think this might be a blessing even though I love cats.

My friend's ex wife hoarded cats. Their house smelled like cat urine. It was so gross. When they offered me something to eat, I would not eat in their house.

I know that you did not mean for this post to be funny, but from the beginning of it I had to laugh at the title. Then so many things you mentioned reminded me that even though the things that caused problems in my family were not the same things as you mentioned, there were plenty of them and not funny at all.
