In the house we used to live earlier, there were hordes of squirrels all over. But since we shifted to our new house, I miss them dearly. Great that the weather is good out there.

We have to have squirrel abatement here. They get rabid. Therefore, we now see few squirrels. The trash company gave us new trash cans (and we are paying for them with increased fees of course) and their truck immediately smashed one of ours. They are going to send out a new one. Glad your weather was nice.

I rarely see a squirrel they hang out in the cemetery,
They usually cross to the walnut trees nearby.
The rooks do not seem to be calling either,
Perhaps the nuts are no good this year.
We have cracked a few and they were black inside.

One of my and John's favorite meals is chili. So, what time is dinner? I'll bring the cheesy cornbread. I believe that your squirrels just might be vacationing in my yard. 🌰

I still see a lot of squirrels where I am at. Lately, I am finding more out in the roadways, playing the tire game.

Funny you should mention it. I've noticed fewer squirrels around here,
too. I was at the park by the lake over the weekend and didn't see a single one. Maybe they're vacationing in the woods, checking out the falling acorns and walnuts. It's good that your gnomes are enjoying the company of those from Kabu's group. I'll bet there are a lot of stories being swapped during their moonlight gatherings.
