One year they flew through out back yard! It was so great!

Their migratory path is along the Mississippi River valley, and

at certain times of the year we see them, heading north in spring, south in fall. Amazing how something that looks so fragile has the strength to go so far.

They are fabulous. I didn't get many in my gardens in Canada but they lived in our woods where their wild flowers abounded.
