That was a way of life once Taps. We knew everyone by sight if not personal.
Where have all the old ones gone? I bet it is a job to walk into a Bank and
get a loan. I remember my Dad asking the bank if he could have a loan
for a Thousand pounds to buy a field. Yes. was the reply 'if you pay,' some sum
I can't remember what it was but we did not take the loan.

I loved the way my Mom & Dad banked. Their retirement checks came in the mail at home. Taking it to the bank was a big deal to them. They would get all dressed up. Mom would usually bake them home-made cookies. At the bank they would go around visiting with each bank employee and giving them cookies, laughing, talking, and having fun. Then they would deposit their checks getting a little cash back for spending. When they could no longer drive themselves I drove them. It was like a bank party. I never see my retirement checks. I seldom ever have any cash at all. Everything is done differently. I don't know any of the bank employees All I am familiar with is a card...a bank card.

There is some flower that booms each summer that is quite attractive
to bees and bumblebees - I am careful to keep my distance so they are not disturbed and can enjoy the pollen. There are a few more bees this year than last year - I'm hoping there are even more next year. I hope you are seeming a higher population of bees, butterflies and pollinators keeping the crops producing as they should.

Ummn isn't that the glorious thing about flowers. One must enjoy them completely while they last because Duh, yes they fade!!!
