Ah, such an interesting and provocative post, dear brother. I think on this one, my mom was a bit right. She would say, "Times change, people don't." While people adapt to changing times in various ways, there is an inherent part of humanity that longs for happiness, fulfillment and the feeling of being whole.
I just watched a video of my family in Italy in the late 1930s. They were not wealthy but it was a wedding, and there was such happiness among them all, if only for that moment in time. War was coming, the ground was dry, and maybe their clothes were made by hand but they were clean and there was music, dancing and laughing. Yes, they were truly beautifully poetic in their love of life, peasants though some or all may have been. I have hope. 🌹🥂😀

I guess it is all inevitable. Time does appear to be taking us into situations that
happen so quickly. Once it all appeared to be slower, who knows perhaps in the
future our time might even be called the Golden Years.

Re: Kabu
As you very rightly point out, iPhones and the ‘phoney’ games, catching the young minds in their grip is to make their minds distant any from creativity. The future may engulf sentimentality, love, affection, kindness and a host of what else not? Joy and happiness of the humans today will seem to vanish for the future generations. It does look quite bleak.

Re: Good afternoon Sherri G
Change is constant, but adjusting with the new often become an unsavory experience for most. There fore I say, let things come as they will and live with the present. The present is a 🎁 gift to be accepted with humility.

I have become old dear teacher. I hate to say this but the kids coming into their teen years along with most in their teens seem to take very little notice of anyone else but themselves. I blame it mostly on Iphone use, games they can play remotely with others or even sitting next to them or by themselves. I see no one reading and very little speech.I have been an avid reader all my life and can enjoy my own company yes, but friends, true friends, have always been very important for me.

Good afternoon
He was ahead of his time. Old ways and attitudes have to be changed along the way if we ever hope to evolve. The problem is that we as humans lose too many of the good ways and tend to gravitate towards bad changes.
