I am so sorry that you are all suffering, especially the Captain. PTSD is not an easy condition to live with. Terrifying events have a way of sticking with a person no matter how hard they try to block them out. My hubby also suffers from PTSD.

And my DIL is falling to pieces worrying about him. Of course all she wants is for him to come home. Son legally adopted him when he was a teen so he doesn't have those wonderful babyhood ties to him and treats him more like a man...which is good.

Oh, my God! I wouldn't wish such a thing on anyone. Your poor grandson. The thought is - well, unthinkable. I hope they are able to help him work through this bout. Fortunately, you can message him and you do have such a way with words that comfort so I know you will help him to feel less horrid. And prayers help.
