How horrible that he landed on your head.   I can just see you screaming.

Re:

Sea Gypsy, it was not a good experience and I hope to never repeat it.  I actually got the bat with my bare hand.  I was so mad that I reacted when it landed on my head.  If I thought I'd have to replay this I'd move.  Tomorrow the workmen will be back.  I was hoping for two days but it's turning into three days to have the boiler installed.

Re:

Kabu, I like being a Blogit Hero but I'm not sure I deserve it over a Bat.  It was a very big bat though.

Re: Good afternoon

Sherri, my house is very busy.  There's always something going on here.  My grandsons Caeser and Landon were working on essays for their English class this afternoon at the dining room table while the workers were in the laundry room working on the boiler and I was trying to keep Sadie calm while Michelle was helping the boys.

Re:

FSI, I have never met anyone that had a story like mine.  If it didn't happen to me I wouldn't believe it.

Re:

C_C_T, this was the first bat I had ever seen up close and I don't want to repeat the experience ever again.

Re: So glad you were able to escort the bat outdoors where it belongs. I

Pat, I'm so glad the bat is out of the house. It was enough excitement for a lifetime for me.

Oh, barf! You poor thing! So did you get the bat with a bat? Is he now not among the living bats of the earth? That is really horrid that you had to be the one to "find" him. As for workmen, yes, that a whole 'nother series of events.  I do hope you have a good weekend, and that it is bat-free.

I do admire you, dealing with that Bat and it can now do what it is supposed to do; live out in the trees somewhere. I admire all you have done since then. I know I would have gone back to bed for the day and other people could look after themselves. I don't mind mice even a rat, I love non poisonous snakes and tolerate the others, But a Bat...and it landed on your head!!. I pronounce you a Blogit Hero!!!!

Good afternoon

You have a busy house with plenty of stuff going on. I'm just glad that you are in a happy place where everything is working out for you.

I once came across a sleepy raccoon in a dumpster when I was in college. I made no physical with the bat. Your bat event definitely tops that.

I think bats are a protected species here. When we were kids we used to throw small objects in the air when bats were swooping up and down . They would dive for them probably thinking they were moths or night flying insects. Sadly they do look a bit creepy and I understand your concern.

So glad you were able to escort the bat outdoors where it belongs. I

think sometimes getting mad helps us deal with our fear in a situation like that. Peace.
