Awh, reminded me of my mom singing that song to us. My MIL, who passed when hubby was 6, was a singer as well and they had those country outfits they wore when they sang, and they had a band and played in what we call clubs now, but it was earlier in time. The men had day jobs though. We have one record of their work that looks like a 45 from those days but I think its a 33 1/3. Interesting post. Thank you.

Good evening
Fun times! I too grew up in a house that had weekend music sessions by stepdad #3 and his cohorts. They practiced before playing out at the honky tonks. None were as good as the one that you described though. Linda Ronstadt had a few good hits that I like.

The Linda Rhonstat version of the song I really knew and loved. Thanks for the memories.
