Re:
Kabu, don't worry, I'm okay. I'm very frugal so I do have enough money to cover all costs. The boiler came as a surprise but I always allow for surprises. Thank you for thinking about me.

Re:
C_C_T, this time I couldn't ignore it because they turned off my furnace. They gave me no choice because it gets really cold here in the winter months.

Taps, sometimes we have things planned out for our day, and the next thing we know everything changes.

Re:
FSI, there's always so much to do. I have a big family and trying to keep up with everyone is next to impossible.

I do pray you have the money for all these renovations. That sounds nosy I realize but actually I am just concerned for my dear friend.

My current project is to just vaccuum all my floors... I was getting ready to do that when a banging knock on the door was the beginning of a wasted day. Maintenance Man said there was a leak in the apt below mine and began a search for it. He has been in and out three times and says he will be back. He can't find anything anywhere so far in the apt above, in mine or in the one below....but he has definitely ruined my intended work day.

The ones in charge have hinted that everyone should have a new heating system.
It would be fine if it was cheap and serviceable but it is expensive and not really
proved to be a good option. I just ignore the countless offers to proceed.

Re: Good morning
Sherri, we really have done a lot of home improvements here. It started with new electricity and went on to the roof and then redoing the back room, a new water heater, dishwasher, and new boiler. After I get the back bathroom redone which will be soon and a new floor put in the living room I'm done for a while. This house is older and that's what led to all the renovations. I hope you have a good day.

Good morning
That had to be really scary to hear such a high number. Thank goodness that you had that boiler checked. Carbon monoxide poisoning is no joke. They call it the silent killer. With all of your repairs and upgrades, you're going to have a brand new house. For now, we have stopped upgrades, but we have to do some gutter cleaning and then some sealing. We also need a new toilet seat after one of our guests broke the hinge that holds it to the toilet. Our next big project will take place in the spring when we add on a half bath to accommodate our guests during parties and gatherings. Have a safe and wonderful day.

Re: Wow, you were right to get that boiler checked, those carbon
Pat, I have had a lot of changes but I'm doing okay. I'm very thankful I had the boiler checked. The problem was so serious that they had to shut down my boiler. I'm glad I'm getting a new boiler before the cold comes blasting into our area. I can't take the chance that I don't have heat.

Wow, you were right to get that boiler checked, those carbon
monoxide fumes could be deadly. So many things are changing for you. I hope it's not too stressful. So many adjustments we've all made this past year. So many of us are just taking it one day - one step - at a time. Have a great day!
