My Mother was definitely a flapper.  She kept an old trunk of flapper stuff and would let us go through it for fun on a rainy day.   She would also do the dancing for us and sing some of the songs......great fun growing up.

the world just wanted to have some fun after WW1...and their skirts went higher, although I think corsets were worn beneath their dress.
