- Go to ELIZABETH, BUT PEOPLE CALL ME IZZY
Good afternoon
I hope that their family gets the help that they need. I remember my mother walking to work back when I was a kid. She held two jobs and finally saved enough to purchase a car. Back then I didn't realize her struggles because I never heard her complain about them, but once I started working, I understand much better about the struggles that so many people have to go through just to survive.

I love this post because it is so down-to-life. There are so, so, so many having a very hard time of it.

Goodness me that sounds how like things were in the late 40's and 50's, when the world was recovering from the War.

It does seem that a lot of folk are finding it much harder to make out these days.
Of course, there are more projects taking money out of the wage.
I remember once we won a hamper. Three little children looked in astonishment, it
was filled with sweets and chocolates. Mother took a bar of chocolate and broke it
into three. 'Your Dad will have to sell the rest.' she said. That must have been
eighty years ago. The tattered old hamper case is still in my store shed, I suppose I
never liked to get rid of it.
