She was quite content to graze. I know every once in a while, the local paper would have an article where some clown would get out of their car to get a picture, or one guy said (from his hospital bed!) I was going to try to pet it. Some people are extremely stupid!

LOL... somewhere, I have a photo of a huge bull moose who was walking parallel to me in the forest. I knew something was there, and I'm positive the moose knew something was there. Then we both entered a small clearing, and we were less than twenty feet apart. He looked at me, and I began to backtrack as fast as I could without raising a ruckus. Fortunately, he didn't follow me, but I did manage to get a nice photo of him before I "left the building."

I'll never forget the time I came face to face with a bull moose on a mountain trail in the Tetons. Scared me to death....but it must have scared him too because he jumped off of the trail and went crashing down the mountain.
