Re: Pat B,

You're right, it is really lovely to work with! It is softer than the merino, even! I've completed a scarf and am making an ear-warmer instead of a hat to go with it. The yarn costs me $20/50 gram ball, and the scarf alone is ~140 grams. Add my $10/hour work and this one will have to be priced ~$100. The merino ones of the same dimensions will be priced ~$65, smaller ones as low as $40.

The expense of the NZ yarn is the $65 cost of shipping. One has to buy enough of it to share out that cost which would be the same for fewer balls.

Re: TAPS,

This is exactly why all the decisions and arrangements are in Charlie's court!

Taking the tour reminded me that I am so glad I am not involved in something like that at this time in my life.  I get tired so easy these days.

The yarn from New Zealand sounds like a dream to work with,

and anything you'd make with it would be high fashion. You wouldn't want to see anyone just toss a garment made of it over a chair or hang it from a hook where it could get stretched out of shape...

I loved the tour and fell madly in love with that big bear. if the Grandchildren of Jim's ever came over they would love him; but they don't. I could browse through all those rooms for hours and bet i could talk you into selling me something i could wear.

Good afternoon

The bad weather conditions appear to be making their rounds. I am praying that everyone stays safe. Have a wonderful day.

Re: CCT,

Maybe you can market them to the Thuggees if you have a local group. I understand the new, nicer sect is into more vegan sacrificial practices, hence the hymn, "Here's another melon, Kali Baby...!"

I think we have been lucky. Against all reasoning, we are getting rain and spasmodic

sunshine. The plants did not seem to grow at all in June it was much too hot.

It is great to have a project in hand. I keep doing different things garden-wise,

My first melon is the size of a coconut. I might start exporting them soon.
