Neat that they all got to see Mount Rushmore...Older siblings do seem to take on that protector role of the younger siblings.

Re: Only a mother knows what they are up to...
That is such a sweet memory to hang onto. I have a few of them myself, but girls are harder to read since they normally suck up to their dads. John always knew what orneriness our three daughters were up to. Now that they are older, I can see when they are happy or troubled.

After 54 years, I can read those faces like a book. Mark was just waiting until he could get back up and run around and climb and be active, Daniel was a sweet happy fellow that did what Dad wanted with a smile, Stephen, always the clown was probably being one for the photo and Dad, taking the photo, probably yelled at him and scolded him, and little David was probably looking over to see what Stephen was doing to make Dad yell. LOL

Good morning
I love this photo. They are so adorable. That had to be something with raising four little boys. I had all girls. We plan to one day visit those presidents on the mountain in South Dakota. It will finish our bucket list as far as travel goes. Thank you for sharing. I love seeing photos. Have a great day.

What adorable little guys - good hearted rascals every one! Thank you
for this photo. Reminds me of my own little guys - those were busy happy times.
