And what happened with your grapes? Was the growing successful? I can't complain about our weather up here in the bush; so far we have plenty of rain and the temperatures are perfect - not too hot, not too cool (and loved by the pesky mosquitoes). As for babies - too much sterile is probably not a good thing. Their immune system needs to develop as they age to survive all the adult inventions, I would think. The poem alludes to human kindness whiich is still around, just not so evident or maybe as appreciated as it once was. Sadly.

Our summer on the temperature front has been mild with not a lot of rain. I do know things can change at the drop of a hat.

Re:

Folk used to study Old Moare's Almanack. Well, it was spelt something like that.

Now we have to watch the weather man. We have to bear with it. Joke.

Re: Taps

Luck you we are just learning the hard way when it comes to hot days. So far my

forecast that we would get a soak this summer has not taken off. I am sure the Ash came to leaf before the Oak so we are sure to get a soak.

Re:Pat

Well, I am sure plastics have a lot to answer for. also if burned they do emit horrible black smoke, which makes me cough to think about it. I knew an old girl who told me that she put some water in plastic bags and then burned them in the  indoor fire .

Re: Good afternoon Sherri

Perhaps they are like us and need a feed at times.

Re: Kabu

I know just what I fancy and I could have it tomorrow as Archie has got himself a position on A market fruit and veg stall. The only thing I am a bit dubious about is where some of the produce comes from. I suppose I could do what Mothers do and immerse the grapes in babies sterilant. A chap told me it was best to shove a teat in a baby's mouth straight from the sterilant. I don't know about that any baby advice?

I had a salad the other day with Avocado, Strawberries and red Grapes. it was delicious. Oh and the Oldie is so good it should be in another book of poems.

Good afternoon

My neighbor has a grape arbor that is full of grape vines that produce small green grapes, but they never seem to flourish as they once did, according to him. They seem to do better in areas that have rich, dark soil, and plenty of sea air.

The weather everywhere seems to be more extreme, supposedly caused

by global warming. When I think back on it, this warming seems to coincide with the introduction of plastics. I can remember when all children's toys were made with wood, metal or sturdy fabrics. There were no plastic bottles, soda pop came in glass bottles, we paid a deposit and got money back when we turned them in at the store. I hope you can find a way to keep growing food and flowers and stay healthy yourself.

I love floating under blue skies if the sun is not roastingly hot.  I have my windows open and am enjoying the coolness and sunshine of the morning, but am ready with the air conditioner if it begins heating up.

Weather these days and in the future, seems to me, it's anybody's guess what to expect or rely on.
