Pat, I'm not sure what the answer is to the riddle. I'm not good at riddles. I would love to see the house you lived in. My grandparents only had an outhouse on the farm. I hope you have a good evening.

Nope, no bathroom. Dragged a tub into the kitchen or took "spitbaths" using the kitchen sink & a washcloth. Also took showers after PE Class at school, and in the summertime, we swam in the creek every day.

Didn't you have a bathroom. Did you have to drag a tub into the kitchen. That was what my parents did when they were first married.

Good morning
It doesn't make much sense to me either, but those riddles are great for getting the mind working. As for your description of your house, it sounds like it was very simplistic, yet a livable space where a family worked together as families once used to do to get by.
