I know the old uns used to plant their potatoes on Good Friday. Shops used to close but only Sunday these days.

Great post. Whether a holiday or not, it is very important to me because Jesus is alive! He died that we might live, but He arose and is living, and we can know Him.

In Australia easter was always a long holiday including Friday and Monday.
