I remember those days. Now, it's hard to get an appointment and you better have your copay ready or no chance of seeing the doctor.

Re:

I have Humana and it was good at first, but they have made a lot of changes these days and not it does not help so much.

Re: Good morning

The last time I had Amoxicillin for an infection was the summer I was 50 and swimming a mile six days a week.  Doctor told me I should never go swimming again even with ear plugs.  It was such as painful ear infection that I never went swimming again.  I've always really missed it.

Good morning

My middle daughter had one ear infection after the other. The Navy hospital continued giving her a prescription for amoxicillin. Thankfully, she outgrew them, because the next step was to put tubes in her ears.

I've had two earaches in my life. I wouldn't wish on that on anybody.

It was miserable when my little ones got ear infections. And when my

youngest was 4 there was an accident when a shopping car flipped, he ended up with a broken femur, a body cast and was in hospital for 8 weeks. At that time we had a family doctor who lived about 10 miles away, and the hospital was even further - they built a hospital five miles from here in the early 80s, with an office wing for family practice doctors and specialists. I so admire nurses - even more than doctors, they bring a higher level of TLC and focus that inspires those in their care.
