I found with my children and grandchildren a few minutes in a chair facing into a corner had a calming effect.

I never follow that woman. I decided she just screams obscenities*** Not my style, though I have been known to go to the school and "talk' to teachers; but the softer your voice and a pleasant smile really gets one's point across I found.

Good Evening
Pat, I had never heard of a time-out box like the one you described in your post. I really would not be comfortable with this box in a classroom. I must say though that I would never act the way the mother did because I think that kind of behavior is not necessary. There are so many ways to get your point across without acting like a crazy person in an open meeting.

Re: Sherri G - I don't think they were all glass, but were modeled after
pay phone booths of that era - the teacher needed to be able to see the student. I think they eventually got rid of the booth but kept the time-out concept.

Good afternoon
I've never heard of those glass time-out-boxes. They sound a bit extreme considering that it leaves the child vulnerable to being ridiculed and stared down by other students, and kids can be really mean. As for those aggressive female activists, they have no place on my television. That kind of negativity is toxic. Maybe that is why I avoid The View and other shows similar to it. I just read that Marjorie Taylor Greene was caught lying during her interview. That in itself speaks volumes.
