I know what you are saying. Some of us are lucky, with close friends and family in the younger generation looking out for us; others not so much, and those are the ones we need to help. This post made me smile - it left a message of hope.

The kids getting lined up to run the world are doing pretty well, doing worthy work, and I have faith they'll do pretty well with the world when the cranky old geezers get out of their way.

I guess the elders have always worried about such things. perhaps that is why I want to leave my stories for my grandchildren.

There will always be someone...to write, to teach, to explore, to share, etc.  It is the way of life.   And blessed are the ones who keep active doing those things.
