My mom loved corn beef and cabbage, and anything Irish, of course. Family get- togethers, especially if old friends are around too, are so good for our morale! It's wonderful how they are all there for you; an excellent example of 'reaping what you sow'.

I have not had corned beef for eighty years. It was unavailable during the war years.
Plenty of cabbage though.

I have a cabbage in the tagine right now, and have to go to the store for a couple of things, so one might be a chunk of corned beef.

The weather didn't cooperate with our parade either. It's wet and dismal, but at least it's warm. Enoy your St. Patrick's day meal. I am having a Reuben on rye.

I avoid crowds these days, and unfamiliar sidewalks. I'll be
watching the highlights of the St. Patrick's Day parade in St. Louis on local TV channels. It's sunny here, after a couple days of rain, but cold - wind chills in the 20-degree range. Maybe I'll crochet a shamrock and decorate a hat with it. Have a great day!
