Good Evening

Pat, I loved your post.  I hope I can pick up the pieces one more time in my life.

Re: Kabu

What didn't kill us made us stronger, and gave us compassion for those still dealing with such.

My abuser died just a couple of weeks ago, his daughters let me know for we remain very close. He had been in care for a couple of years he was 92...I am still scarred inside even all this time later.

Re: Pat -- I wrote you a long response to your post and then it disappeared before printing.  That's probably best.  Thank you for letting me get some things off of my chest even if you don't get to read it.

You did have a tough life, many would not have made it. Some have it really easy

and still make a mess of life.

Good morning

This is a sad, bittersweet, and sweet story all in one, and I just love the ending. I'm also willing to bet that the tree with the carvings is still there. That is a really sweet thing that he did for the two of you. Happy Valentine's Day!
