I don't feel it matters particularly who or what you personally see as your own God. People get so angry and hung up on what they percieve as the only way to think.

Love your interpretation. Ms. Ford taught at Seattle Central while I worked there for about 10 years after I retired from my long-time job at SIUE in Illinois. She was a favorite among the students, a gentle nudger rather than a strict grammarian, and I've often wondered how long she might have stayed at SCCC after I retired (again) in 2004. She was at least 30 years younger than I - sweet soul.

My personal interpretation of all that:  The middle is what I have.  I was not here at the beginning.  I doubt if I'll be around much longer, but what I have in the middle of all that is more than I deserve, but I have it through Jesus Christ and His love.
