Ji has a little square tin box where you pudh down at the front and retrieve a tooth pick. he was about to send it to goodwill and i said better not. lets find out more about it.

Good morning
If that box could only talk, the stories it could tell. That is a seriously cool keepsake to have in your possession. I imagine that it is probably worth some money. I love antique items that come with a history, especially ones that are personal and near and dear to the heart. I have several such items myself that I have kept safe and plan to eventually pass on to my daughters.

I love this post. I still remember my Grandmother Jelinek's kitchen. I loved it. It was big and airy with not a bit of clutter, but some very interesting items that she had brought with her from Bohemia (Czechoslovakia) when they came to America. I'm so glad I have those memories.

PS - I Googled tin matchboxes and found a variety of them for sale
online. I didn't see any that matched the one I have.
