"Train-Car Bryan" ~
...if Nader starts postulating from the rear end of a train, it'll be time to start thinking "reincarnation".
Thanks for reading!

You freakin' hippy!
...those were classics! I had a '69 Volkswagon van...nothing between me and oncoming traffic but a sheet of 18-gauge sheet metal. Changed lanes whenever a gust of wind came up, went uphill at a brisk 20mph (maybe)..but like yours, darned easy to maintain. The only electronics was the cigarette lighter. If things got too bad, just dropped in another engine. Right on, man!!! Or, whatever.....fuckin' hippies.

Strange, a Classic, maybe potentially one of the best cars GM ever made. I
say potentially because it might have had a bug or two, engine wise, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. And those old babies could be worked on by anyone without all the electronic shit of today's cars. I finally sold as a classic. I bought an old Corvar van to, from junk and messed around with it a bit and used it quite a long time. . Not many people realize Chevrolet made a Corvair Van. s.

AbsoLUTEly!
I had a '64 or 6'5 Corvair...think '64. My grandmother bought it new, then my brother bought it off of her in '70, then I bought it off of him in '73. Solid steel dash, auto transmission that was a lever in the dashboard...fuel always "air-locked' when it was above 65 degrees. Most of us figured Nader just needed to get laid...
