I never did learn how to play pinocle. My husband's aunts and uncles played long, long games of it, while my mother-in-law who would not play, kept ragging them that card games were of the devil. At my own home I would play Solitare with a pack of cards my hubby had. Now I play solitare on my lap top.

Good morning
I too love your stories and these are such lovely memories of good times. I love card games, and that pinochle card for your mama was a pretty neat tribute to one who enjoyed partaking in such fun.

Good Morning
Pat, I love this memory! It's such a nice memory of a long time ago when life was different. I can remember sitting at my Aunt Ann's kitchen table at breakfast and listening to the grown-ups talk. She always had the best food and her apple butter was so good on homemade bread. Thanks for the memory.
