Re:

Kabu, I know it will be nice when everything is done and you can enjoy your new kitchen.  Are they giving you a timeline of when everything is supposed to be done?

I am missing our dishwasher as it sits in the four seasonsn room, waiting for someone to bring it in and reinstall it in a better place than it used to be. I really loath this contractor

Re: I grew up and spent the first years of motherhood without a dishwasher.

Pat, all the years I raised the kids I washed all the dishes by hand and I never had a dishwasher until we moved to this house.  I have no idea how I ever did everything when the kids were young and worked.  I'm very thankful to have one now and a new one will be wonderful.  It's supposed to be very quiet.

Re:

Ciel, our old dishwasher had so many issues that I'm thankful to get a new one.  I hope Charlie takes the Christmas decorations down for you.

Re:

FSI, you are right about Christmas things disappearing and now Valentine's Day decorations are everywhere.

Re: Good afternoon

Sherri, we were trying to get a nice dishwasher without spending too much money so I'm glad we got the Maytag.

Re:

Taps, I use my dishwasher every day and the funny thing is that I usually clean my dishes before they go in the dishwasher.  I've always done this and then when I run it the dishes are getting very clean and sanitized.

I grew up and spent the first years of motherhood without a dishwasher.

I have to say having one, even though I'm the only one here, is a blessing. I feel the dishes are sterilized, and are much less germy than when washed in the sink at temps the hands can tolerate. And popping a dish onto the rack is so much less time-consuming than standing at the sink, washing, rinsing, etc... Enjoy your kitchen helper.

By the time I get home from Seattle, Charlie might have Christmas dismantled.

Envying you your new dishwasher!

The Christmas things are slowly disappearing. I did see a car with the reindeer antlers yesterday.

Good afternoon

I'm glad that you found the perfect dishwasher and at a great deal. You're right, as long as they get the job done, and $1,300 is way too expensive.

I have a dishwasher but with me being the only one eating most of the time, I don't use it unless I have company.  Sounds like you got one you are going to love for a long time.
