Automation and computerization taking over everyones' jobs--a warning theme from the 1950s onward--which, like global warming warnings didn't stop us from going there.

It's easy to become a resentful old codger when changes we don't want are forced on us, which pretty much emphasizes that we are ourselves being considered obsolete.

We keep getting the same old calls to have smart meters. I suppose it is partly to stop having to have the meter read by their staff. Do you recycle your cards I don't like to if they have my address on them.

dangerous and difficult times indeed darling.I blame it on greed for money more than anything. People want money more than they care for each other in too many cases.

Good afternoon

Those deer are ornery when it comes to plants and feeders. They have knocked mine over once they ran out of the corn and seed on the ground.

I'm getting to the age where I resist any change to any routine,

I don't want "new and improved" anything. I know that's not the right attitude, and there are times I change my mind. But I've come to love my comfort zone.

We had to do smart meters for electric and water where I'm at. We didn't have a choice in the matter. So far, no problems with the problems. It's been a few years.
