Good Morning
Pat, I've never been much of a singer but I do like to hear others sing. My daughter-in-law and my granddaughter have such pretty voices. I think your Mom had so many talents. I hope she knew that.

I remember both of those songs, and Ramblin' Rose too. My grandmother would whistle instead of singing when she went about her work, and most of it was hymns. She never went to church, and I am belatedly wondering how she ever learned the melodies.

My Mom would sing "Rambling Rose", the Perry Como 1948 version. Mom's name was Rose and she loved that song.

Those lyrics about the ball game meant nothng to me when we sang around the Piano. Eventually I learned about baseball and they suddenly made sense.

Good afternoon
It's funny how a song can transport us to different times in our lives, good and bad. I too am personally looking forward to spring so that I can get out and get some much needed time out in nature.

Pat as we grow older memories appear to be more vivid. Well they do to me.I
wonder if it is a kind of safety valve. We cannot run away so quickly from the Sabre
Toothed tiger. So we have to reminded more frequently of the immediate danger.
Of course it is corrupted and we experience more older memories by default.
Take care
