You were there and all of this is your experience but what a shame your Mother wasn't taken away to a facility where no she probably wouldn't have got the help she needed but you children would have enjoyed a way better life if your Aunt had brought you all up. I am sorry when I read stories like yours for I had wonderful loving parents. Oh I got a smack on a little leg when I was naughty but I deserved it and respected my parents more for keeping a cheeky little Howler in check.
