I have used wood for heat in numerous homes, but not down here. There's a knack to doing it, and you either learn to do it right or you get cold! Growing up, we used wood heat in my father's place. I would go out into the woods to gather wood and then split it. It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed the time with dad.

Yes I guess each one has anough hidden problems without seeking others. Do you use wood for firing.
