That is what I was going for in this poem. I'm not always so pessimistic or dark in my writing. Given recent events, it felt like the right tone.

Excellent writing. Dark yes but the days are dark. The World is certainly in a dark place...mostly.

If you were going for dark, you nailed it! Our world is literally a shit show featuring hate, crime, rage, ignorance, and a total lack of empathy. Sad.
