There are a lot of shocks these days as a result of DNA tests. It feels like most Ask Amy columns deal with the results of a DNA test.

Many people have that fear and some look at DNA testing as an adventure. We were ready for anything and after nearly 30 years of genealogy record searching and DNA testing we have a clearer picture of our family roots. My husband never knew his bio father so he was expecting anything and everything. I thought my family was one way, but they had another side to them. Some info is stunningly wonderful to know and other info was shocking. All in all it's still mysterious.
It's worth it to test. Knowledge is strength.
