I can't help myself, I still like cowboy/western movies and I love reading Louis L'mour books.

Sea Gypsy

Thanks for your comment. I hope one day our Native citizens get the recognition and respect they have earned, and that the U.S.A. will print the whole truth in the history books they use in public school systems.

I believe we will all get along when we all decide it is in our best interest to do so.

In California there is today a special respect for our Indigenous populations. I have always, since childhood, felt a certain sadness for the wrongs they endured. I am proud to be married to a man who is partly Indiginous American.

When will we all get along. I have travelled extensively in my life and lived all sorts of places. Basically the human problem is the same everywhere. mistrust, hate because some one hurt you,or is intent on doing harm, ignorance, calling other people inferior half humans, religion, so many excuses to basically enslave a people steal from them exploit them and on.

Just because some cultures trail behind others it does not mean that they are less

worthy. It takes a long time to sink in.

Good Morning

Pat, going to grade school in Cleveland we learned so much about the Indian people.  They left so many artifacts behind and people find them where their settlements used to be.  There are many arrowheads made by the Indians in Cuyahoga county and surrounding communities.  I always found it fascinating.  They were never portrayed in a bad way.  It was part of our history.  If I remember correctly they would take animals' hides for warmth during our very cold winters.  I've always loved Thanksgiving stories about the first Thanksgiving with the pilgrims and the Indians.

Good morning

All good questions that come down to one disturbing answer. Too many people want to rule the world. Even though that was never the intent of our Creator, too many people are become arrogant, ignorant, and self-serving to see the whole picture of what could be if we would all just get along.
