Re: Taps
This makes me smile - thank you Taps. I catch myself talking to him - asking questions. It helps.

Re: Sherri G
The decision isn't mine alone - his sister and brothers are equally involved. We are helping each other work through this, and are together on all of it so far. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Good afternoon
God bless you. This post brought me to tears. I cannot even begin to imagine what it would be like to make a decision such as the one that you are facing. I find it wonderful that you are thoughtful enough to consider how his partner feels about your son's final resting place. The ocean is as peaceful a place as you can get, so I can see that being the perfect location for a loved one to be set free from all of the troubles that this world puts on our hearts and minds.

I did the same - placed my chalice beside Bird's urn on his and mom's special table in my living room. I remember how Bird was so grateful that Willey would send him this, even if he only knew him through my conversations about friends in Blogit.

I love this. Twenty+ years ago my Sister Barbara passed away in KC. At the same time her Precious Daughter had major surgery and could not carry out her Mother's wishes to be scattered in her favorite Ozark Mountains of MO. So for six months Sis waited on a shelf at my place surrounded by her favorite Beanie Babies. I never entered the room without looking at her and smiling and sometimes talking to her.
