Grocery stores are requiring so much from their workers. They are also eliminating checkers because they want people to check themselves out at the registers...less employees they have to pay...you do the work for them! Employees are also tired of customers who don't care if they are short handed. Who vent over every little thing...and even become physical...punching etc.

At least four people in my family work from home, maybe more. It is really different from when I worked. I retired about 2005 and there wasn't anything like that then.

I believe people have found jobs all over the country they can work at from home. I know someone here living in Omaha who works for a company in California. They get more money, don't need to commute so gas is no problem, and don't need expensive clothes. I would have loved a job like that when I had children at home.

Good afternoon
You're right, anything does go these days. People often incorporate their ethic traditions as a part of the meal. Last year we made lasagna a part of our holiday meal. I normally make a sweet and spicy honey glazed spiral ham for both Christmas and Thanksgiving due to it being our favorite. For whatever reason, I do not digest turkey well. It is cool here today, and wet. The filming of the Mayor of Kingstown has gotten ridiculous. Walking to my car, I have almost been hit twice by a golf cart filled with production workers.

My guess is that the benefits non-workers are getting are enough to keep them staying idle. Me personally? I'd go nuts if I was home all the time.
