Re: CCT,

In your part of the world they'd probably be called Yellow Finn potatoes. Here they are Yukon Gold, but that may be more a brand name than a type name. They are higher in protein than regular russets. It is really astonishing how many different kinds there are!

Never heard of gold potatoes. Ciel our minds are so cluttered up with everything

these days. It is far harder to emphasize than it once was. It is very sad.

Good afternoon

It's a good thing that you caught them in time. I sometimes forget too once I get caught up in the television.

Good Afternoon

I'm so glad you caught your potatoes before they burned.  I've been watching "Cleaning Lady" on television.  It's a series and it shows what people go through that come here from other lands.  I never thought too much about it although I did know it was difficult for them.  Now that we've watched this series I'm learning what they go through and it's not easy for any of them.  If they are here illegally they are always afraid of being deported and they have their small children with them.  They want to make a better life for their families but they are always afraid of being deported.  If they are deported they will go back to war-torn countries that are not safe for anyone.

I believe at this moment I am in an 'unpleasant actions/bad news/' overload. All I want to watch is hockey/ball/basketball and all I want to read is cheery/humor fantasy stories. I realize that it is very important to know this stuff, but it's mentally put aside for persual at a later time.

Re: Re: Sea Gypsy,

Agreed. Absolutely must do that.

Re: Sea Gypsy,

Absolutely one of the best gifts that anyone can give their family. That, and getting rid of a whole lot of clutter before heading out over the Rainbow Bridge.

Good you caught the potatoes in time. Thank you for this post. You have given me a wake-up call to write my family's story. My sister, brother and I are among the last who know them.
