Go to Life in the fast lane--where's the on ramp?

- Go to HIGH SCHOOL BEST FRIEND
Though I am late reading this, I find it most interesting as it really took me back to my highschool days. I never had a desire to drop out but also, I never had the feeling I was one of the high school popular persons. Our graduating class had 404 students and I was somewhere lost in the middle of it all.

My BFF was so close in age and where we lived she could have been my twin sister. She died when we were 60 in 2005. I can't believe how long I have lived without her.

Another good guideline by your Mother. You could have ended up as a waitress.
I know two examples girls went to college. No contact with Mother, one works in a bar the other in a small store.

Good afternoon
Patricia is not a name you hear often, but back in march of 1982, the nurses at Mercy Hospital attempted to persuade me to name my oldest daughter Patricia aka "Patty," due to her being the first bay that morning born on St. Patrick's Day. I had already made my mind up to a name that started with the letter 'J,' as are all three of my daughters. As for quitting school, it appears that your mama was right. Happily, you found other friendships as most kids do. Hopefull Patricia found a lifetime of happiness in her marriage.

Good Morning
Pat, I think your Mom was very smart. I'm so glad you made a new friend after your best friend ran off and got married. I'm not sure what that girl was thinking but she really should have finished school.
