Cue the entrance of the bad boy, who just happens to be the disowned cousin of her ex, and her mediocre life (up to now) changes overnight.

Good Afternoon

I was thinking that just maybe she was starting to feel like she wanted clarity from the old boyfriend about why they didn't connect in the end.  She finds out where he lives and searches for him.  I have to say quite to his wife's chagrin he decides to meet with his old flame.  He had been in love with her but she'd never gone the extra mile for him.  When he saw her for the first time after so long all the old feelings came back.  She was still as beautiful as ever and his heartstrings were pulling in her direction.  His wife was pretty but in a different way.  He loved his wife but this love was something different.  He couldn't define it if his life depended on it.  He had no idea how to explain what she'd been to him.  He told her that he couldn't take the nonchalant attitude and when he went off into the service he met someone that could meet his needs.  Now that time had passed he could feel his heart wanting her again.  It was crazy because he had a wife and the life they had built together.  He couldn't think when he looked into her eyes and saw the passion in them.  Something had changed but he didn't know what.  Where would they go from here?

Good afternoon

It sounds as though they were more friends than anything else, and they outgrew each other because there was no real love loss. Heartbreak only occurs when love is a factor. Maybe they meet up thirty or forty years down the road and reconnect after both of them have raised their families, retired, and buried their spouses.

Sadly Pat it is a case of what has she got that I haven't got. Well nothing but she's got it here. I know its an oldie but quite true.
