I love her books as well. I'm waiting for the Stephanie Plum book to come in November.

Re:
C_C_T, I hope you make an apple pie this year. You are very fortunate to have a fruitful apple tree.

Re:
FSI, I love all the different scents of candles but I think vanilla is my favorite one.

Our Granny Smith apple tree is loaded this year. We never think to cook them as we have a Bramley tree as well. I must certainly try this year.

My mom loves burning her Yankee Candles throughout the year. The house has a lot of great smells.

Re: Good morning
Sherri, I've just learned how to cook by trial and error. I did not do good in Home Economics class. I got a D- in that class but I did get an A in English. The teacher asked me how I could be so good in English and so bad in Home Economics. They promised to pass me with a D- if I promised to never take the class again. True story. I can remember they had the class make a white sauce and that really did not go well at all.

Good morning
I can smell that vanilla candle all the way from Pittsburgh.
It's dreary here today too, but the sun has been fighting its way through for the past half an hour. Roy is in for a real treat tomorrow for his birthday. You are a really good cook. It will be delicious. I love old cookbooks. I have my mother's Betty Crocker cookbook from the 1970s that I still use from time to time. It was the one that I learned to cook from in junior high. I also had some help from my Home Economics class.
