He says the magic is in the soapy spray which destroys the wasps' ability to shed water so they pretty instantly drown. Just dish soap... a lot cheaper than the fancy poison sprays, too.

I once attacked a wasp nest with a spray, well attempted to and the wasps started
attacking me I threw the opened can of spray over the nest and ran.
